Big Doc


Highly experienced and well-established production personnel will bring Big Doc to the screen.

Executive Producers

Jo Ellen Ford and Hayden McIlroy of Little Rock and Dallas will serve as executive producers for the movie, supporting the production with advice, talent and resources.  Both executive produced Mr. Christmas, a 2005 award-winning television movie for PBS written and directed by Beth Brickell and filmed in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Writer-Producer-Director

Beth Brickell has written and/or directed a dozen dramas and episodes for CBS, PBS, Showtime, A&E and Nickelodeon. Three television movies that she wrote, produced and directed, Summer’s End, A Rainy Day and Mr. Christmas, won 25 film festival and television awards. She is a graduate of the American Film Institute in Los Angeles with an MFA in film directing.  

Prior to becoming a director she was an actress appearing in some 100 motion pictures, television movies and episodic shows, including Posse with Kirk Douglas, Brock’s Last Case with Richard Widmark, and two years starring in the CBS series, Gentle Ben, with Dennis Weaver.

Cinematographer

Robbie Greenberg has been the Director of Photography for more than a dozen major motion pictures, his latest being Wild Hogs, a 2007 picture for Disney's Touchtone Pictures.  

He has won  Emmys for the TV movies Winchell and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, and received Emmy nominations for Warm Springs, Iron Jawed Angels, and James Dean.  He has won four American Society of Cinematographers' awards for "Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries, Movie or Special" for Warm Springs, Iron Jawed Angels, Winchell and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.

Production and Costume Designer

Patricia Norris has been both the Production Designer and Costume Designer for numerous theatrical features, including Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart, and the TV series, Twin Peaks.   Her latest motion picture assignment in both capacities is for The Assassination of Jesse James, a 2007 motion picture with Brad Pitt for Warner Brothers.

She has received five Academy Award nominations for her work on Days of Heaven, Elephant Man, 2010, Victor-Victoria and Sunset.  She won an Emmy as Costume Designer for Twin Peaks and received an Emmy nomination as Production Designer for that same television movie  

Editor

Carol Littleton has edited more than two dozen feature films, including The Manchurian Candidate, Dreamcatcher, The Anniversary Party, ET: The Extra-Terrestrial, Places in the Heart, The Big Chill and Brighton Beach Memoirs.  Her latest project is Margot at the Wedding, a 2007 motion picture with Nicole Kidman for Paramount.

She received an Oscar nomination for ET: The Extra-terrestrial.  She won an Emmy for the TV movie, Tuesdays with Morrie

Composer

Thomas Newman has composed the score for more than 70 motion pictures, his latest being a 2007 independent movie, Nothing is Private.

He composed the score for Beth Brickell's PBS movie, Summer's End, and has received eight Oscar nominations for The Good German, Lemony Snicket's A series of Unfortunate Events, Finding Nemo, Road to Perdition, American Beauty, Little Women, The Shawshank Redemption, and Unstrung Heroes.  He won an Emmy for the TV movie Six Feet Under, and a Grammy for the soundtrack album for American Beauty.  He has received three other Grammy nominations for Angels in America, Unstrung Heroes and The Shawshank Redemption.
